My favorite instruments for sensory seekers are basically all of them but here are a few of my favorites! 🫶🏼

For my fellow sensory seekers 🎶✨

The guitar you those deep, grounding vibrations you can feel in your chest. The cabasa offers that satisfying rhythmic swirl and tactile feedback in your hands. The piano surrounds you with rich layers of sound—soft and gentle or bold and powerful. The lollipop drum adds playful, steady beats that are both calming and regulating. And the ocean drum? Pure magic. 🌊 It’s like holding the sound of waves in your hands—soothing, immersive, and endlessly mesmerizing.

These instruments aren’t just music-makers—they’re full-body sensory experiences. 💛🎵

So grateful to have met 1Voice Foundation today! 🎵🩷🫶🏼

We are excited to Welcome Olivia Harrington, M.M., MT-BC., Board Certified Music Therapist, to the 1Voice Foundation family support programs. Olivia is the Founder and Owner of Motive Music Therapy, a private music therapy practice providing evidence based music therapy services to individuals and groups. Olivia received her Master’s Degree from Florida State University.

She works with early intervention, developmental and intellectual disabilities to improve communication, emotional expression, stress management and overall wellness.

She will be visiting monthly during Tuesday Tutoring for “Jam sessions”, working with our preschool age friends and working with our bereaved siblings to write their own lyrics to express feelings. Welcome Olivia.
