We’re excited to announce that our Sebring, Carrollwood, and Brooksville locations will reopen on Monday! Gainesville is already open and operating as usual.

Our South Tampa location will remain closed on Monday October 14th, and we’ll provide updates on our website as soon as we have more information. We will also reach out to South Tampa patients directly to confirm or reschedule their appointments.

Our thoughts are with everyone as Hurricane Milton approaches. For the safety of our beloved patients and dedicated staff, Newsom Eye is adjusting our operations.

Wednesday, October 9:
Our Sebring, Carrollwood, South Tampa, Gainesville, and Brooksville locations will be closed for the day.

Thursday, October 10:
Weather permitting, Newsom Eye Sebring will open at 11:00am. Carrollwood, South Tampa, and Brooksville aim to reopen at 1:00pm, with Gainesville following suit.

The Tampa Surgery Center and Newsom Surgery Center will close at noon on Tuesday, October 8th, and will reopen on Monday, October 14th.

We will update the status of our office hours when possible.

Please stay safe and take all necessary precautions during this time. We’ll be in touch with any updates and will assist with rescheduling if necessary. Our prayers are with you all. 💙

After attending a TIA Tampa networking event this Spring, Stacy & Hunter Newsom, owners of Newsom Eye Clinic, were so overwhelmed with teens’ interest in the medical field, that they decided to create the Ophthalmic Internship Program for rising high school senior and college students. The Newsom Family Foundation goal through this program is to provide a unique experience in a multidisciplinary setting with the intent of mentoring a knowledgeable student capable of engaging in eye care. 👁️
