📘 "Follow the dictates of a Higher Power and you will presently live in a new and wonderful world, no matter what your present circumstances!"
— P. 100
No matter what your present circumstances. That phrase carries a lot of weight. It doesn't say "once things settle down" or "after you've fixed the mess." It says right now — this moment, these circumstances — a new and wonderful world is possible when we stop relying solely on our own best thinking and trust something greater.

For nearly four decades, Turning Point of Tampa has watched that transformation happen. Not overnight. Not without work. But completely, genuinely, and in ways people never expected. 🙏🌱

Sobriety is about far more than not drinking — it's about building a life worth living.

🧠 "There is no health without mental health."
— David Satcher, former U.S. Surgeon General

We say this often at Turning Point of Tampa — not as a slogan, but because it's the foundation of how we treat people. Addiction rarely arrives alone. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma responses — these conditions are often woven together, each one feeding the other. When we treat only one piece of the picture, we leave the door open for relapse.

That's why dual diagnosis care isn't something we offer on the side — it's central to everything we do. Because real healing means treating the whole person. 💙

If you're struggling with both, you deserve care that sees both.

📖 "If you want what we have to offer, and are willing to make the effort to get it, then you are ready to take certain steps. These are the principles that made our recovery possible."
— BT P. 17

Readiness doesn't mean certainty. It doesn't mean the fear is gone or you have it all figured out. Readiness is willingness — that's it. If there's a quiet part of you wondering whether there's another way to live, that's enough to start. The steps are there for anyone willing to try, just for today. 💚

You don't have to be ready for forever. You just have to be ready for today.

🌟 "With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts." — Eleanor Roosevelt

Every single morning is a reset. A chance to show up differently — for yourself, for your recovery, for the life you're building one day at a time. Recovery isn't about carrying the weight of yesterday into every tomorrow. It's about waking up and choosing, again, to keep going. 💡

You've got a new day right in front of you. What will you do with it? 💛

🧠 Addiction and mental health rarely travel alone.

If you or someone you love is dealing with both — depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, or another mental health condition alongside substance use — you already know what it feels like when treatment only addresses half the picture. You get better in one area, and the other keeps pulling you back.

That's exactly why integrated dual diagnosis treatment matters. At Turning Point of Tampa, we don't treat addiction and leave the mental health piece for later. We treat the whole person — because real, lasting recovery requires it. Our team addresses both conditions simultaneously, on one campus, with one consistent care team. 💙

For nearly four decades, we've seen what comprehensive care can do for people who've felt failed by treatment that only told half their story.

📘 "When, therefore, we speak to you of God, we mean your own conception of God.” — P. 46

No two people find their way back the same way. The beauty of recovery is that it meets you where you are — with your own understanding, your own history, your own questions. You don't have to have it all figured out to begin. One honest step and an open mind is enough. 🙏

For nearly four decades, Turning Point of Tampa has watched people find their footing when they least expected it. Wherever you are today, that can be your starting point.

☀️ What does it feel like to go to work knowing what you do truly matters?
At Turning Point of Tampa, that feeling isn't a perk — it's the job. As a family-owned treatment center founded in 1987 and rooted in the Tampa Bay community, we've built something rare: a workplace where the people on our team believe just as deeply in recovery as the people who come here to find it.
From medical detox through long-term aftercare, our staff walks alongside clients through every step — together, on one campus, with one shared mission. Restore Balance. Renew Hope. Rebuild Life.
If you're looking for more than just a job, come find your purpose. Nearly four decades of lives changed — and we're still just getting started. 💙

📘 “We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.”
— P. 84

The Promises are real. They aren’t a someday thing—they’re a showing-up-and-doing-the-work thing. And when they start coming true? You’ll know. 🌟💙

📖 “Turning it over to our Higher Power and getting the support of our sponsor and other members can prevent us from becoming our own worst enemies.”
— BT P. 103

We don’t have to white-knuckle it alone. That’s the whole point—reach out before you have to. Your people are there. 🤝💚

❗They said we'd never have fun sober. That might be the funniest thing we've ever heard.

Game nights we actually remember. Mornings without dread. Laughing so hard it hurts — and remembering every second of it.

Recovery didn't take the fun away. It gave us our lives back so we could actually enjoy it. 💙

Happy April Fools' Day — the only joke here is the lie that said we couldn't do this. We're doing it. ✨

🦋 “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.” — Brené Brown

Recovery from an eating disorder isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being honest—with yourself, with the people who care about you, and with the parts of your story you haven’t told yet. You are brave. 🌸💜
