ASCRS 2026 in Washington is now behind us.

Over the course of several busy days, we had the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new contacts, and have a number of meaningful conversations – from quick introductions to more in-depth discussions.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Whether you came with a specific question or just a bit of curiosity, we appreciate the time.
It was encouraging to see strong interest across our portfolio – from reusable and disposable surgical instruments to consumables. The feedback we received was thoughtful, direct, and valuable, giving us clear direction for further development.

In our previous post we shared an example of operating with RUMEX Aspiration & Irrigation Handpieces 7-081 and 7-0821. Dr. Claudio Carbonara, MD, used it to perform cortex removal.

The handpieces are designed for bimanual technique and enable efficient cortex engagement with minimal mechanical stress, maintaining stability of the anterior chamber. They may be introduced through any side port incision, allowing easy access to all parts of the capsule. Compatible with the standard connector.

In our previous post we shared an example of operating with RUMEX Utrata Capsulorhexis Forceps 4-0331T.
Dr. Claudio Carbonara, MD, used it to perform capsulorhexis of a femtochopped nucleus.

This is a fully titanium instrument with a round ergonomic handle. Sharp and delicate cystotome tips simplify making the first pinch. Tungsten carbide coating at the tips provides better gripping of the capsule. Curved shafts prevent corneal deformation during use.
