In our previous post we shared an example of operating with 12-4013-25H End-Grasping Forceps with RUMEX flushing system. Dr. Alex Alfaro, M.D. has demonstrated how to use it for Internal Limiting Membrane (ILM) peeling.

The end-grasping forceps features a squeeze handle with RUMEX Flushing System for easy cleaning without disassembling. The main component of the system is a 25 Ga side port for flushing that allows cleaning the tube without any stress to the jaws – as flushing liquid streams inside the tool towards the most delicate tip of the instrument softly washing it inside. Another component is a flushing cannula provided free with every instrument.

SFO 2026 in Paris has come to an end, and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit the RUMEX stand over the past few days.

The congress gave us a great opportunity to reconnect in person, introduce new products, and have many valuable discussions around current market needs, future cooperation, and practical experience with our products in daily surgical work.

The booth visitors had the opportunity to explore a wide range of RUMEX solutions for ophthalmic surgery from reusable and disposable instruments to consumables designed to support different surgical techniques, preferences, and everyday clinical needs.

Thank you again for the time, conversations, and interest in RUMEX. As always, we’re happy to share a few moments from the congress below.

ASCRS 2026 in Washington is now behind us.

Over the course of several busy days, we had the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new contacts, and have a number of meaningful conversations – from quick introductions to more in-depth discussions.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Whether you came with a specific question or just a bit of curiosity, we appreciate the time.
It was encouraging to see strong interest across our portfolio – from reusable and disposable surgical instruments to consumables. The feedback we received was thoughtful, direct, and valuable, giving us clear direction for further development.

A special thanks to the Lions World Vision Institute for the collaboration on the CAIRS Treatment Set, as well as for hosting a well-structured and practical wet lab during the congress.

We invite you to take a look at some moments from the event below.
