We would like to welcome Kaveh Vali, MD, Pediatric Surgery!

Dr. Kaveh Vali is a board-certified general and pediatric surgeon and joins the BayCare Medical Group practice at 3001 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Tampa, Florida, where he sees patients from newborn to adolescence. Dr. Vali has a special interest in minimally invasive pediatric surgery, as well as the treatment of pediatric gastrointestinal conditions, including short bowel syndrome and colorectal disorders. With more than 15 years of experience, he communicates openly with his patients and their families, taking the time to thoroughly address all needs and concerns.

Dr. Vali earned a Doctor of Medicine from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, completed a general surgery residency at the University of California at San Francisco in San Francisco, California, and completed a pediatric general surgery fellowship at the University of Montreal’s Sainte-Justine Children’s Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Dr. Vali is certified in advanced trauma life support and pediatric advanced life support. He’s a member of the American College of Surgeons and the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group. He speaks French, German and conversational Spanish.

🎁🎄For more than three decades, our team members have shared the true spirit of the season through our annual Mission Basket program—a heartfelt tradition that provides holiday gifts to families of former patients in need.

What began in 1993 with baskets of food and toys has grown into a joyful tradition—and a friendly competition—to see which department can design the most festive display of donated gifts. We’re proud to share that 31 families will enjoy a merrier Christmas this year thanks to our generous and compassionate team members, continuing a legacy that has touched more than 2,300 families since the program began.

It’s more than gifts—it’s hope, love and community. ❤️

BayCare provided four patients without insurance a wonderful holiday gift – a free joint replacement! 💙 Learn how BayCare’s Orthopedic Institute partnered with local non-profit medical clinics Clearwater Free Clinic , St. Petersburg Free Clinic and Operation Walk USA to provide these local residents with a life-changing holiday gift below!

BayCare physicians provided four free joint replacement surgeries for patients without insurance as part of a national charitable program.

🎄It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas🎄

We welcome the arrival of the holiday season with our annual tree blessing in the lobby of our medical office building. Songs were sung and good times were had!

Team members and their families also enjoyed our annual holiday party this week with hot chocolate and treats galore.
