So many reachouts for lately! (Kudos that they are wanting alternatives to benzodiazepine class prescriptions.)
Having the MTHFR gene mutation (which 75% have at least 1 copy!) predisposes you to anxiety and we know to support an MTHFR gene mutation we need NON-synthetic B vitamins typically in a METHYL form to absorb it. BUT that can actually FUEL MORE anxiety for those with a slow COMT gene which makes them SENSITIVE to METHYL donors. SOLUTION-> a B-complex with HYDROXY/Adenosyl B12 & FOLINIC ACID. Why a B-Complex? Just received a phone call from a 64 yo post covid (July 2020) female telling me how much improved her memory recall is since starting this mid February.
Just a friendly reminder that if you are on a vegetarian diet OR taking a class of medications called Anti-cholinergics you may want to consider supporting BRAIN health with CHOLINE to prevent early onset dementia. So frustrating for a family when folllowed by an allergist with recent skin prick test and has lived gluten free, egg free , dairy free and shellfish free for years. 10 yrs old and still needed Zyrtec EVERYDAY for discolored - red - itchy arms also on vit D with a level of 38.5.
3️⃣ big issues here:
⚠️almond allergy wasn’t known
⚠️daily antihistamine “telling” body not to make DAO enzyme that RIDS the body of histamine
⚠️vit D level not OPTIMIZED to assist with mast cell stabilization
✅ taking out offending foods is step 1 but taking away Zyrtec, working on increased vitaminD level, adding Riboflavin- Quercetin-vitamin C & DAO enzyme made this boy super comfortable in a month’s time (even with a fresh broken arm!)

It’s not ALL about finding out your ... we ALSO want to know WHAT fueled them & make changes so that when food replacements & supplement regimens are recommended you can HEAL -RECOVER-PREVENT other food reactivities. When I interview a patient & ask about their history of ibuprofen/naproxen/NSAID/steroid use & it’s been used chronically, this is the result I often see- lots of elevated IgG food antigen reactivity. Do all of these foods need to be removed? Well, not necessarily. When there’s this much reactivity, we isolate/remove the really high value reactions, add digestive enzymes & rotate different food proteins often. Other supplements that help mend these junctions may also be suggested. Choosing antiinflammatories like BOSWELLIA, CURCUMIN, ORGANIC H**P, GINGER, OMEGA 3s that don’t promote intestinal permeability can be just as efficacious for pain. Check with a healthcare professional for supplement/drug interactions.
