On my journey, I like to share how important therapy was for me. Yes I am deep on my spiritual journey and I see things a little bit differently. However, there are some things that are better suited to talk through with a therapist. Especially when they also may be aligned with you spiritually. I’m noticing how thin the line is between being open on your spiritual journey and spiritual psychosis. I am always very honest with people when I’m working with them and they share certain things. I honor their lived experience, while also suggesting that maybe they see a therapist to help them further work through the traumas that come up during sessions.

I personally did it and I’m glad for it. 🤍

I am not trying to be preachy. I just think accountability and safety is important. And we as practitioners, who hold space for community should be aware of our limits and boundaries. 🌻
