Rest in Peace, President Guy Riekeman.
He saved our school from losing accreditation and transformed it into what I believe is the best chiropractic program in the world.
He reached milestones few ever reach. He became one of the highest-paid university presidents in Georgia — not by accident, but by vision, leadership, and results.
And yes — strong leaders attract strong opinions.
He had critics. He had doubters. He had people who questioned his methods.
But he kept building.
He kept leading.
He kept striving.
His weekly talks weren’t just speeches — they were experiences. Every time he spoke, it felt like a TED Talk. He pushed us to think bigger, aim higher, and refuse mediocrity.
His favorite line was, “Fair game.”
It was contagious.
During my tenure on campus, I would lovingly use it with my friends. It became part of how we challenged one another — how we pushed toward excellence.
To him, “Fair game” meant opportunity was open. Growth was possible. Excellence was expected.
No limits. No excuses.
Just go for it.
I was always in awe when he spoke.
Thank you for the leadership. Thank you for the standard you set.
Fair game.
