6 Things You Should Know About Sculptra…

1. What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable made of poly-L-lactic acid. This unique injectable option encourages your body to increase its own collagen production.

2. How Does Sculptra Work?

Most of our patients happily go 3-4 months between Botox/Dysport treatments. While it’s only natural to experience some returned movement around the 2.5-month mark, here are a few things that can *definitely* shorten the life of neurotoxins.

🔥 Sauna & Heavy Sweating – Excessive heat and sweating can speed up the breakdown of Botox and Dysport, reducing their longevity.
☀️ Sun Exposure – UV rays cause inflammation and oxidative stress, which can break down neurotoxins faster. We urge our patients to wear SPF daily and a wide brimmed hat during any prolonged time outside.
🍷 Alcohol & Dehydration – Alcohol dehydrates the skin and increases inflammation, which may reduce the effectiveness of neurotoxins. Stay hydrated and limit alcohol, especially in the days following your treatment!
🚬 Smoking – Smoking decreases blood flow and damages collagen, making Botox and Dysport break down more quickly. Quitting or reducing smoking can help your results last longer…
