The long-term goal of working on your gut health isn't just to live without bloating or to p**p regularly

✨ It's to eat the birthday cake or slice of 🍕 without fear
✨ To split a giant 🍪 and not worry about the consequences
✨ To put on the tight dress or jeans without feeling like you'll regret it after you eat

That's why it is SO IMPORTANT to bake in a food re-introduction plan after working to heal gut ‼️

Okay this has to be talked about because while yes, passing gas IS normal...

Having your farts smell like something literally died inside of you or like nasty rotten eggs IS NOT 🤢

This is easily the most embarrassing symptom I ever dealt with personally and I know I can't be the only one 👇🏻
- micromanaging and questioning everything I ate or skipping meals before events to avoid the gas 💨
- wanting to die when I couldn't hold it in out in a crowded space 😩
- not wanting to be intimate with my partner because my gut could NOT be trusted to hold itself together 😭

If that is you right now then keep reading because there are 2️⃣ main reasons your farts smell & we're going to break them down 👇🏻

1️⃣ Bacterial overgrowth in the gut 🦠
When certain bacteria overgrow in the gut (like in dysbiosis or SIBO), they start fermenting undigested carbs and proteins more aggressively.

This fermentation produces gases like hydrogen sulfide - the one that literally smells like rotten eggs 🥲

2️⃣ Low stomach acid or digestive enzyme production 🍍
If you're food isn't being broken down in the stomach or small intestine food will sit in the gut longer than it should & ferment. Once again gases like ammonia and sulfur are being produced, possibly slowing digestion further, & causing that clear the room level smell 🤢

As you can tell these two things go hand and hand. Constipation or slow motility also aids in the problem.

Once you clear the bacteria + properly support the actual digestion of your food your smelly gas (& other symptoms) will go away! 🤗

I used to let my symptoms control my life
And I didn’t even fully realize how much it was happening
Every decision started revolving around how I felt…
or how I might feel
❌ Canceling plans because I was bloated or exhausted
❌ Avoiding foods because I was scared of a reaction
❌ Skipping workouts because I let the comparison game win or was too tired to push
❌ Overthinking every symptom

And for a while, I told myself…
“This is just part of healing”

But really? I was stuck

Because I thought managing symptoms = healing❌

The shift for me was realizing…
👉🏻 Avoiding everything wasn’t fixing my body
It was just keeping me in a smaller and smaller box

So I stopped just reacting to symptoms
and started addressing what was actually driving them

Because the truth is…
Most of what you’re experiencing isn’t random

It’s patterns
🧩Gut imbalances
🧩Chronic stress + nervous system dysregulation
🧩Blood sugar issues
🧩Hormonal shifts

You’ll do anything for your kids.
For your pets.
For the people you love.

I remember being in that phase where I was doing everything “right”

The deep breathing
The meditations
The mental health walks
The red light therapy
The vibration plate

And still…
