The Florida Association of School Psychologists 52nd Annual Convention is one of my favorite places to present! We discussed "Supporting Families Through PANS and PANDAS Flares with Understanding and Psychoeducational Assessments."

The school psychologists in private practice and school settings were inquisitive, and thoughtful!

Takeaways:

• Clinicians expressed strong interest in improving assessment for PANDAS/PANS and supporting affected families with compassion and clarity.

• There’s a clear desire to move beyond symptom-focused care toward understanding the full constellation of presentations.

• Many are eager for training that reflects the complexity of these cases and equips them to respond holistically.

• Peer consultation and collaboration with medical teams were highlighted as essential supports moving forward.

I am excited to help more mental health clinicians feel equipped to work with PANDAS/PANS Families
