Have you ever heard of the phrase “Sleep like a baby”? Let us show you how. For an infant to sleep safely and soundly, follow these rules:

1. Place infants on their backs for sleep in their own sleep space with no other people.
2. Use a crib, bassinet, or portable play yard with a firm flat mattress and a fitted sheet.
3. Avoid sleep on a couch or armchair or in a seating device. Except when riding in a car with a safety seat
4. Keep loose blankets, pillows, stuffed toys, bumpers and other soft items out of sleep space.
