These three curious baby owlets were recently spotted on our wildlife cameras, taking a break from playtime to pose for the lens.
Burrowing owls are a state-designated threatened species in Florida, known for their unique ground-dwelling nests and expressive yellow eyes. At Mosaic, we’re proud to support their conservation by protecting and restoring the habitats they—and many other species—call home.
Before any mining begins, our sites are carefully surveyed by independent consultants. We work closely with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to ensure wildlife like burrowing owls, gopher tortoises, and indigo snakes are monitored and managed with care—before, during, and after mining.
