The reverse is also true: consistently focusing on stress and negativity strengthens those pathways, training your brain to spot problems and threats more efficiently. This isn’t about denying hardship, but about consciously choosing where to place your attention so you can train your mind to see the full picture including hope, solutions, and possibility—and gradually shift your brain’s default toward resilience and optimism.
