Our mission is to provide quality of treatment through renown doctors and modern therapeutic methods to patients, helping them deal with the injuries and pain that results from a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) or any other injury. For our staff, it is a pleasure to help manage your pain in the best way that we can. Massage therapy is known to affect the circulation of blood and the flow of blood and
the lymphatic system. By treating with specific methods tailored to both the human body and the individual, we can work to reduce muscular tension or flaccidity, stimulate the nervous system through stimulation or sedation, and enhance tissue healing. These effects provide a number of benefits to patients with trauma, and especially those with MVA-related pain:
Benefits seen with treatment include: Relief of muscle spasms Greater flexibility and range of motion Increase of muscular ease and efficiency of movement Relief of stress and added relaxation Deeper and easier breathing Improvement of circulation of blood and lymphatic system Relief of tension-related conditions, such as headaches and eye strain Faster healing of soft tissue injuries, such as pulled muscles and sprained ligaments Reduction in pain and swelling related to injuries Enhancement in the health and nourishment of the skin Improvement in posture by changing tension patterns that affect posture General sense of wellbeing Reduced pain
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep Tissue techniques are generally designed for more focused massage work. Working a specific joint, muscle, or muscle group, the practitioner can access deeper layers of the soft tissue. Each person experiences pressure differently. Starting superficially and easing into the depth of the muscle slowly often allows for more movement. MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (MFR)
Myofascial release works with the fascia that surrounds muscle, ligaments and bones, serving as a connective tissue throughout the body. When an injury occurs to one area, the facial system is traumatized causing adhesions and/or scar tissue to form. This can begin to bind, affecting other parts of the body. Using MFR and unwinding facilitation, the facial structure can be restored improving alignment and reducing or eliminating pain. NEUROMUSCULAR RE-EDUCATION
The utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscle, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system. THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE
Any exercise planned and performed to attain a specific physical benefit, such as maintenance of the range of motion, strengthening of weakened muscles, increased joint flexibility, or improved cardiovascular and respiratory function. VASOPNEUMATIC DEVICE
Vasopneumatic devices are a type of specialized equipment designed to apply pressure to an extremity to reduce swelling following an acute injury. ELECTRICAL STIMULATION
This type of therapy uses gentle electrical pulses that are transmitted to specific areas of the body through electrodes placed on the skin. There are many different types of electrical stimulation therapies available. Some are more beneficial for pain relief or to reduce inflammation, some are for muscle spasms, and some actually cause muscles to contract in order to reduce muscular atrophy, known as wasting. Some offer a combination of different kinds accordingly to the patient's needs. ULTRASOUND THERAPY
Ultrasound machines are a treatment modality used by physical therapists that utilizes high or low frequency sound waves. These sound waves are transmitted to the surrounding tissue and vasculature. They pe*****te the muscle to cause deep tissue muscle warming. This promotes tissue relaxation and is consequently useful in treating muscle tightness and spasms. The warming effect of the sound waves also cause vessel vasodilatation and increase circulation to the area. Increased circulation promotes better healing to injury sites. SCHEDULING
