Sunday, February 15th 5pm - 6pm. Yoga Nidra.

Most of us are overstimulated and rest deprived. Create space to reduce the effects of stress and allow your body to experience the 4 stages of Yoga Nidra which mimic the 4 stages of sleep.

Even though we cannot replace the effects of a good night’s sleep, through practicing Yoga Nidra, we can help our body create an internal environment that improves the chances of having a good night’s sleep.

Stages of sleep and Yoga Nidra:
Non-REM 1 - relaxation for physical body, cellular repair and energy revitilization
Non-REM 2 - relaxation for nervous system and mind, time to process events of life
Non - REM 3 - Delta brain waves is experienced, supports healing and supports immune system
REM - dream state where thoughts and emotions are processed, with consistent practice, this state of peace is able to carried into everyday lifeAll Non-REM is the dreamless sleep which is just as vital to health as REM.

Looking through some select pics from our trip to the Philippines this past January. When I snapped these shots, I didn’t know this would be the last time I would see my Auntie Vi.

We truly don’t know what each day brings. This sad news came as a surprise and I wish I hugged my Auntie a little bit longer when we said goodbye.
