Laparoscopic common bile duct exploration is must have skill for GI/HPB surgeons. Fellowship education should include this part, despite the era of advanced endoscopic procedures by Gastroenterology colleagues.

Congratulations to the entire team for the successful First Robotic liver live surgery Demonstration using KangDuo Chinese Robotic system for segment 7 liver tumor resection.

This operation was supported by Fuji Film corporation and engineers from Kang Dua, together with team from Sinergy Medika Utama Jakarta Indonesia.

This operation marks another important milestone in development of robotic surgery in Asia, especially with cost effective robotic system instrumentation, affordable to wider hospitals and patients.

It was an honor and privilege to deliver the International Visiting Professor Grandrounds at the University of Indonesia School of Medicine- Ciptomangunkusumo Hospital in Jakarta attended by Department of Surgery Staff members and all trainees including nearly 100 virtual participants from all over digestive centers.

We discussed the Management of Liver Cancer, Innovative and Breakthrough in Immunotherapy, Hepatoma with micro/macrovascular invasion and differences among Barcelona Clinic, Asia Pacific and AASLD guidelines. We also obviously discussed surgical techniques for vascular reconstruction and ALLPS procedure robotically which are applicable in the local area with advanced liver cancer cases.
