Tamworth Community Nurse Association (TCNA) was founded in 1921 to ensure no one in the town of Tamworth would go without healthcare due to financial difficulties or the lack of access to the medical system. As an independent, locally controlled nonprofit organization -- the only one of its kind currently in New Hampshire -- we are able to respond with speed and sensitivity to local conditions and

individual needs. We provide a wide range of nursing-related services to residents of all ages, as well as coordinate the delivery of Meals on Wheels in Tamworth, NH. We are located in the rear wing of Tamworth Town Office, and are handicap accessible. to 2 p.m. Mon-through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays. We offer office visits with a licensed nurse Monday through Friday 9 a.m. or by appointment. We also make home visits for those unable to come to us.

The Tamworth Nurses currently has an oversupply of donated Depends-style disposable underwear for adults -- every style and size.

These are expensive items and, even if you have the means to purchase them, consider taking some off our hands for free. You can use that money you would have spent to go out to the movies, or buy a friend an ice cream.

Drop in during our office hours for pickup or, for delivery, call 603-323-8511.

The nurses' office is also the location of a regional Diaper Depot network. For free children's diapers, sizes 1 - 5, come on by.

As always, if you're making a special trip, it's worth a call into the office at 603-323-8511 to make sure we have not been called away unexpectedly.

Need to borrow something from our equipment library? If we have it, we’ll be glad to loan it to you.

Who will speak for you?

April 16th is National Healthcare Decision Day, (NHDD), a time dedicated to making our healthcare wishes known. If you are any adult over 18 and have not yet appointed a person to be your voice if you are ever involved in an accident, or are otherwise unable to make your own healthcare decisions, April 16th is a great day to complete your Advanced Directive.

If you already have an advanced care plan, it’s a good time to review it and make sure it’s up to date.

TCNA can help! Stop by our office any day between 9-2 to pick up information, or call us at 603-323-8511 to schedule an appointment at a time that works best for you.
