NEW at 7:30pm.... Winter Weather Advisory in effect through 1 AM due to additional light snow and areas of widespread freezing drizzle. This precipitation is falling on roads that are already wet from earlier rainfall, significantly increasing the risk for icy conditions.

Winds are not strong enough to dry road surfaces as previously anticipated, and we are receiving numerous reports of black ice developing—especially on elevated and exposed surfaces such as bridges, overpasses, vehicles, and garbage cans.

Temperatures will continue to fall overnight, allowing any remaining moisture to freeze. Travel conditions may deteriorate quickly, and caution is advised through the overnight hours. Precipitation will move out overnight but roads will remain hazardous until a few hours after sunrises Monday morning when the sunshine will thaw them out.
