We're celebrating ! Our team in Tappahannock it top notch...but don't just take our word for it. We recently celebrated a successful DNV reaccreditation for the hospital as well as our ISO 9001 certification. Several functions of the hospital were celebrated by the surveyors with the most notable being environmental services. It wouldn’t be in Tappahannock without hotdogs 🌭 . And we mean a life-sized HOTDOG. went WILD today. They decided to show out for special guest Rodney The Ram, on an obstacle course. Have you ever seen a koala 🐨 on a balance beam? What about a cow 🐮 that hop scotches, a hippo 🦛 that limbos, or chicken 🐥 that runs like his head is cut off? We saw it all today. Note: No inflatables (or the people in them) were harmed in the making of this post.
Many thanks to the team members, board members and hospital leadership who helped celebrate our caring and compassionate team this week. Happy Hospital Week to all who celebrate! ✨

Riverside Tappahannock Hospital (RTH), the heart of our community, is undergoing important renovations for patients, family, visitors and staff. We have relocated and expanded our Cancer Care Center to make it more comfortable and relaxing for our patients undergoing treatment as well as creating exam and meeting areas for patients, nurses and physicians. In addition, we just finished the first group of new patient rooms in our medical/surgical unit, which are designed to provide more private, relaxing places for patients to heal. In addition, we've just complete updates to our nursing stations to better meet the needs of our clinical staff and serve our patients. Lastly, you'll also begin to see changes coming to the front greeting area and improved lounges throughout the hospital.
RTH provides a wide range in inpatient and outpatient services including surgery, diagnostic imaging and laboratory, and cancer care. View our complete list of hospital services.
