Many of our clients, past and present, have tattoos that show the bond they share with their son or daughter. But sometimes, these tattoos aren't exactly as perfect as we would hope. ☹️

One of the most common questions we get is "What does laser tattoo removal feel like?". The experience can be different for everyone based on a number of variables, but these are some examples that we've heard from our very own clients.

1. Sensation of heat - It comes as no surprise that a laser produces a "warm heat" feeling, almost like the feeling of your skin in the summer sun.

2. Stinging or prickling - This is also a common effect that is mentioned, as the ink particles are being "popped" by the laser, before being flushed away by your immune system.

3. Discomfort or pain - Everyone has a different tolerance to pain, so some may experience more than others. Thankfully, there are methods to remedy this such as numbing cream applied before the treatment or an ice pack.

4. Treatment is quick - Regardless of the previous factors, you only feel it for a short while! (A lot shorter than the time it took to get the tattoo 😂) Our sessions will have you in and out in a matter of minutes!

Meet the Kirby‑Desai Scale!

This tool helps professionals estimate how many sessions your tattoo might need to fade or disappear.
It considers:
🔹 Skin type
🔹 Tattoo location
🔹 Ink colors
🔹 Ink amount
🔹 Scarring
🔹 Tattoo layering (cover-ups)

The higher the score, the more sessions you’ll likely need. It’s not perfect—but it does set realistic expectations and helps avoid surprises.

We understand things happen. We are VERY flexible about rescheduling appointments and making times work for you. If you can't make a scheduled appointment, please let us know. A $75 non-refundable deposit is due at scheduling. If you fail to show up or cancel without notice, this fee is owed. If the card you have on file is not valid, the NCNS fee is due before you can reschedule.
