ShimmyFit Cardio is a dance based cardio class that combines dance styles from around the world, including Belly Dance, Bollywood, Jazz Funk, Hip Hop and Latin Dance.

About Katie

Katie is teaching Zumba at 10am on Sunday, 4/12!

Katie Moncebaiz (she/her) is thrilled to be back in her home state of Connecticut, after living in New York City for the past 11 years. While in NYC, Katie danced with the Eva Dean Dance Company, performing throughout the city and abroad in the Fringe Festivals in Amsterdam, Prague, and Germany. Since 2006, Katie has taught various Zumba Fitness and dance and fitness classes throughout New England, and has performed with local dance companies in Connecticut, Boston, and New York City. An enthusiast of all things dance and fitness, Katie is also extremely passionate about arts education and equity in the arts. Katie graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and Theatre. From seasoned dancers and athletes to brand new beginners, Katie’s hope is that you come to class ready to find the joy in movement.

About Elisheva

Elisheva is teaching Belly Dance for All Levels Monday, 4/13 at 7pm!

Elisheva is a New England based bellydancer who teaches weekly classes in Hartford and directs a student performing troupe, Troupe Bellysheva. Elisheva teaches workshops and her dancing has been featured in magazines, newspapers, podcasts, television, and movies. She is an alumni cast member of Bellydance Evolution and teaches on the instructional drills practice app www.stackabledrills.com

About Jill

Jill is teaching Pilates Wednesday, 4/15 at 5:30pm.

Jill is a very experienced certified instructor who has been teaching group fitness in the Granby /Simsbury area for over 30 years. She is passionate about encouraging and motivating all wherever they are on their fitness journey with safe and healthy movement.

Finally, Julie will be subbing Gentle Yoga Thursday at 5:30pm!

Join us this week for our Annual Open House! All regular in-person classes are donation based/Pay What You Want. We will have free giveaways, discounted merchandise and pricing starting tomorrow!

Walk-ins are welcome but signing up in advance is recommended and appreciated.

All Classes will take place in Studio A-Suite 206 unless specifically listed otherwise. Please note Studio A is upstairs. Studio B is in Suite 11, which is located on the basement level of the Mill building.

La Gran Fiesta: Valentine’s Edition with Jossan and Martin is Friday the 13th at 6:15pm

Join us for a 75 minute Zumba party full of love energy hot rhythms and nonstop fun. Get ready to dance sweat and celebrate Valentine’s with an amazing community and high vibes from start to finish. This class is for all levels so bring your partner your friends or come solo and let’s turn cardio into a fiesta you won’t forget 💃🏽🕺🏽✨ $20/per person

Partner Yoga with Laura Fetzer is Saturday, February 14th at 2:30pm

Partner Yoga brings people together through movement, play, breath and touch. It is a wonderful way to build stronger communication, trust and intimacy in any kind of relationship, whether it is friendship, a family member or your significant other. Yoga postures and flow sequences are designed to create and nurture trust, strengthen communication and create a sense of light heartedness and fun! Some yoga experience is helpful, but not necessary...a sense of adventure and an openness to new experiences is essential! Space is limited. The practice will be led by Laura Fetzer ERYT-200. Cost is $50/per couple.
