With it being spring break week for many, we have some teachers out and some wonderful teachers stepping in to sub a few classes for us. Check out the bios below of the new (new to us!) teachers. Be sure to check out one of their classes this week!
About Katie
Katie is teaching Zumba at 10am on Sunday, 4/12!
Katie Moncebaiz (she/her) is thrilled to be back in her home state of Connecticut, after living in New York City for the past 11 years. While in NYC, Katie danced with the Eva Dean Dance Company, performing throughout the city and abroad in the Fringe Festivals in Amsterdam, Prague, and Germany. Since 2006, Katie has taught various Zumba Fitness and dance and fitness classes throughout New England, and has performed with local dance companies in Connecticut, Boston, and New York City. An enthusiast of all things dance and fitness, Katie is also extremely passionate about arts education and equity in the arts. Katie graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and Theatre. From seasoned dancers and athletes to brand new beginners, Katie’s hope is that you come to class ready to find the joy in movement.
About Elisheva
Elisheva is teaching Belly Dance for All Levels Monday, 4/13 at 7pm!
Elisheva is a New England based bellydancer who teaches weekly classes in Hartford and directs a student performing troupe, Troupe Bellysheva. Elisheva teaches workshops and her dancing has been featured in magazines, newspapers, podcasts, television, and movies. She is an alumni cast member of Bellydance Evolution and teaches on the instructional drills practice app www.stackabledrills.com
About Jill
Jill is teaching Pilates Wednesday, 4/15 at 5:30pm.
Jill is a very experienced certified instructor who has been teaching group fitness in the Granby /Simsbury area for over 30 years. She is passionate about encouraging and motivating all wherever they are on their fitness journey with safe and healthy movement.
Finally, Julie will be subbing Gentle Yoga Thursday at 5:30pm!
