*Occupational Therapy focuses on helping children participate in the occupations of childhood. Children's activities of daily living include: playing, eating, self-care, learning, writing, community skills, and socializing.
*Physical Therapy focuses on helping children to engage in physical activities such as crawling, walking, running, jumping, climbing, catching and throwing and safely moving around their environment.
*Speech, language, and oral motor skills can impact a child's ability to communicate needs appropriately and socialize with others. At Therapy In Action, Speech Therapists are available to consult in the overall development of the child. Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists may provide suggestions for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to help the child meet developmental challenges. They may also make recommendations for mobility aids, splints, and orthotics.
