A woman came into my office with neck pain she'd had for two years. She'd seen other practitioners and nothing gave her lasting results.

I didn't touch her neck, just asked her to stick her tongue out. It pulled to one side, which told me everything I needed to know.

I worked on her jaw & tongue for about 10 minutes. Her neck released on its own.
Afterwards she cried, because she finally understood why nothing had worked.

I'm teaching this connection live on May 27th.

Neck, jaw & tongue workshop, revealing the hidden connections. Learn why treating them separately keeps you stuck and what actually works.

A lot of people get discouraged too soon because they think progress only counts if the pain disappears completely.

But that is not always how healing works.

Sometimes progress looks like:
✅ Fewer flare-ups
✅ Less intensity
✅ Faster recovery
✅ Catching your triggers earlier
✅ Needing less constant treatment

Healing is not always linear, especially when pain has been building for a long time.

I wrote a new blog about what real progress can actually look like, even when it does not feel perfect.

Learn 6 signs your chronic pain is improving, even if flare-ups still happen and progress feels slow. Healing is not always linear.

This month I’m putting extra focus on my online 1:1 sessions.
Tips, stretches, and self-help tools can be helpful. I share them often.
But sometimes pain keeps coming back because the help you’ve tried is too general for what your body actually needs.

If your neck pain, tension, jaw tightness, headaches, or recurring flare-ups keep cycling back, an online session may be the better next step.

I help you look at what may be contributing to the pattern and guide you through self-help techniques that are more specific to your needs.
This is for the person who wants more than general advice.

Healing isn't a straight line.
Better → worse → different → clearer → better.

If you've had a hard week with your neck pain and you're wondering if anything is actually working, that flare-up might not be a setback.
It might be your body recalibrating, updating an old pattern, responding to something new you introduced.

The nervous system doesn't change quietly. Sometimes it gets louder before it gets quieter. Be patient with it, you're not back at zero.

What's one thing that has actually helped your neck pain, even temporarily?

Nine months of neck pain. Gone after one session.
That's what Monica told me. Not because I did something complicated or unusual. Because I looked where most practitioners don't.

If your neck pain keeps coming back no matter what you try, the source probably hasn't been addressed yet.
I created 2 free techniques, the same ones I use in my practice so you can start there yourself.

Jaw release + scalene release. Under 5 minutes. Just your hands.

Something I wish more people understood about chronic neck pain:
Tight doesn't always mean strong needs to be stretched.

Sometimes muscles are tight because your nervous system is keeping them that way as a protective response because somewhere along the way it learned that guarding was safer than letting go.
When that's what's happening, stretching gives you temporary relief at best. At worst it signals more threat and the tightness comes back harder.

The question worth asking isn't "how do I loosen this?"
It's "why is my body holding on?"

Have you ever noticed your neck tension gets worse during stressful periods even when nothing physical changed?

Two things I check before anything else when someone comes to me with neck pain: their jaw and their tongue.

Most people have never been asked about either.

Your tongue has a resting position, gently pressed to the roof of your mouth just behind your front teeth. When it's not there, your jaw compensates. Your neck compensates, the tension builds in places you'd never think to look.

I put together 2 free techniques, a jaw release and a scalene release that you can try at home in under 5 minutes.
No equipment. Just your hands.

Most people treat neck pain like a local problem.

Neck hurts → treat the neck.

But after 30 years in practice, I rarely find the source where the pain is.
It's usually upstream; the jaw, the tongue, the way you've been holding tension in your face since before you even noticed it (this is what I hear from my clients regularly)

That's why the adjustments help for two days. Why the massage feels great and then the tightness is back by Thursday.
You're treating the messenger. Not the message.

Has anyone ever looked at your jaw when you complained about your neck?
I'm genuinely curious, drop a comment below.
