We had some special guests visit us at the EMS bay today. Thank you to the prek class for coming to learn about how to load a patient onto the stretcher and how to check if a patient is responsive.

Tornado Warning has expired. Please stay alert as the weather changes rapidly.

🌪️ TORNADO WARNING 🌪️

The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Tornado Warning for Southeastern Lea County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 400 PM MDT.

* At 342 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Hobbs, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* The tornado will be near... Hobbs around 345 PM MDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Midland.
