Welcome to our journey towards an Animal-Based Diet! π±
After struggling with recurring sinus infections, sporadic energy, and brain fog, we decided to explore alternative ways to heal ourselves. We had already been working with a functional doctor who introduced us to supplements and a keto diet, which helped us lose weight and feel better to some extent. However, the sinus surgery I had scheduled was repeatedly canceled due different reasons with the last reason being a gene mutation called Factor V Lieden, increasing the risk of blood clots.
Taking it as a sign to take charge of our own healing, we delved into natural remedies for histamine and immune health. That's when we discovered Heart & Soil's organ supplements, specifically their immune package containing histamine/immune, immunomilk, and gut & digestion support. Further exploration led us to Dr. Paul Saladino and his insightful articles on the carnivore and animal-based diets. It all made perfect sense to us.
In the second week of November, we embarked on our animal-based diet journey, completely eliminating processed foods, seed oils, and certain vegetables. The transformation was immediate! We felt a surge of energy on the very same day and experienced no cravings or urges to deviate from our new lifestyle. We realized that cheating or indulging in foods that don't align with our diet resulted in sluggishness, bloating, fatigue, brain fog, and stomach discomfort.
