Due to weather conditions, the 2026 SPJST Fishing Tournament has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8.

We met with the residents today to review this week’s forecast, and with temperatures expected to be around 63°F on Friday, it was agreed to move the tournament to next week.

Please note that all plans and activities will remain the same—only the dates have changed.

Kindly refer to the attached schedule for the updated Fishing Tournament details.

We participated in our first ever Taylor Educational Enrichment Foundation Food Dudes fundraiser. Had the cutest theme ever!
“Fire it up” at SPJST Skilled Nursing and Rehab “A little Spice, A lot of Heart”
We served up Melissa’s Hot Sauce, decorated with Jalapeños and lights. And had info about the fishing Tournament. It was a Fun night! SPJST Skilled Nursing and Rehab /Melissa’s Hot Sauce Won the 2026 Best Appetizer!!

The Residents love it when it is the Country Store! It was a packed house! Thank you to everyone who donates to the Country Store.
The Country Store is the 2nd Monday of every month. The residents plays Bingo or catch me to Moovin-N-Groovin to get tickets for the country store. But of course, if they do not have tickets NO ONE is TURNED AWAY! Everyone is welcome tickets or no tickets.

2026 SPJST Resident Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration! Friday the residents enjoyed an afternoon gathering their Easter eggs with their retractable butterfly nets and gathered inside for some cute Easter treats that the activity department made for them. Saturday afternoon the Memory Care enjoyed an more calm Easter egg hunt inside -

A big shoutout to everyone who donated candy and to Thrall Student Council for volunteering at our Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt!
We had a lot of eggs and a lot of kiddos! We even had the Easter Bunny out taking pictures with the kiddos!
The residents enjoyed stuffing the eggs and getting to watch the children race to get their eggs. As one of the residents said “ All of that time stuffing those eggs and it took only seconds for them to be gone, but it was fun can’t wait to do it again”
Thank you for your support and helping us provide the Quality of life that our residents deserve 🩷
Now we are ready for the Resident’s Easter Egg hunt on Friday!! Be on the each for the pictures!
