Big Congratulations to Our OT Graduates!

Today we celebrate a big milestone — our amazing kids who have officially graduated from occupational therapy!

Over the months, they’ve worked hard on building independence, strengthening their fine motor skills, mastering daily routines, and growing their confidence — and we couldn’t be prouder of all they’ve accomplished.

From zipping coats to tying shoes, from handwriting practice to sensory regulation — every step has been a victory. Watching their progress has been nothing short of inspiring.

Here’s to new adventures and continued success — you’ve got this!

Noah had mastered stringing blocks and we are so proud of him!

Did you know?

There are numerous benefits to teaching a child to string beads.

Fine motor control: It is an excellent way to strengthen the finger muscles and their movement as they work together. It helps children develop fine motor skills essential for being able to pre-writing activities, buttoning the shirt, tie shoelaces, open containers, and more.

Bilateral coordination: It helps a child in building bilateral coordination skills as they hold beads from one hand and string from the other. It further helps them perform tasks such as dressing, cutting, tieing a shoelace, and many more.

Visual perception: It helps a child to build visual perception skills, which is important for pre-reading, letter recognition, and understanding lines, patterns, and shapes.

Hand-eye coordination: Stringing beads helps to improve hand-eye coordination in children at an early stage of development.

Concentration and perseverance: this activity helps a child to build concentration and patience, as it requires a child to sit for a longer duration and complete the activity. They learn how to string a bead by failing and thus build perseverance.

Language: Stringing beads also introduces them to unfamiliar words as they perform the activity and thus help in language development. These blocks have different vehicles, traffic signs, etc. Lots of opportunities for conversation and language building!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
Since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Our kids worked hard in speech in preparation for possible snow by using descriptive words and creating these beautiful snowmen! ☃️❄️
