Many of us have a personal connection with someone who has served or is serving in our military, and some of us personally know of the soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service. A question that has popped up a LOT in my office lately is whether or not the posture support straps are a good idea. The answer is THEY ARE NOT. While they will absolutely hold your shoulders back while you are wearing them, your body will become dependent on the straps and allow your postural muscles to weaken. What that means for you is that your natural posture support will become weaker and weaker, and you'll be worse off in the end.
