– In 2025, Greenville Health Authority awarded a Healthy Greenville, Too Grant of $10,000 to Taylors Free Medical Clinic. 🩺 Today, our team wore colon shirts and pins—complete with a not-so-favorite emoji—all for a very important reason: raising awareness for colorectal cancer!

According to the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer (CRC) is now the leading cause of cancer death in younger adults. Many people don’t know the signs and symptoms, their family history, or their personal risk.

During the month of March, we’re making a special effort to bring attention to this important issue and encourage conversations about gut health and lifesaving screenings, because screening saves lives.

We’re joining 1.5 million patients and survivors across the country by wearing blue to promote colorectal cancer screening and honor those affected by this disease.

Thank you, Colorectal Cancer Prevention Network, for providing our team with t-shirts and ribbon pins to help spread awareness.

After months in the ICU and rehabilitation, she returned home to begin navigating her new normal. Now a quadruple amputee, Ciara shares a message of resilience, hope, and the strength found in trusting God through life’s hardest moments.

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month 💙 We’re so grateful for our incredible Medical Director, who is wearing her colon cancer awareness pin and sharing this important reminder:

“Colorectal cancer is a preventable disease. A simple screening can make the difference between a minor procedure and a life-altering diagnosis. If you are 45 years old or older, talk to your healthcare provider about screening options.”

Prevention matters. Early detection saves lives.💙

💛 Happy Random Acts of Kindness Day! Today, we’re celebrating an act of kindness—but this one wasn’t random at all. 💛 Earlier this month, North Hills Church brought more than 20 people with willing hands and hearts to serve our clinic. They painted and patched walls, assembled chairs, fixed countless maintenance needs, improved lighting, completed electrical work, and tackled projects we couldn’t have done on our own. Their service didn’t just improve our building; it strengthened our ability to care for the patients who walk through our doors. Thank you, North Hills Church, for serving God, our clinic, and our community so well. Want to be a part of moments like this? We’d love to have you! Visit www.taylorsfmc.org/get-involved

💓 Did you know? Taylors Free Medical Clinic has a Love Basket filled with donated, practical items for our patients—and every single item includes a handwritten encouragement card.

For years, a faithful volunteer has lovingly created Scripture verse cards to encourage our patients. Recently, we were also blessed to have a group of high school students join in, adding their own heartfelt notes alongside this ongoing ministry.

These small acts of love make a big impact, reminding our patients they are seen, valued, and prayed for.

If you’d like to learn how your church, small group, or friends' group can get involved by donating special items for our Love Basket, please call our office at (864) 244-1134.
