What you eat affects your oral health. Sugary and acidic foods can wear down enamel and cause cavities. On the other hand, foods rich in calcium strengthen your teeth. Eating a balanced diet helps your smile and keeps you healthy overall. If you have questions about taking care of your teeth, call us at (801) 968-9548.

Nuts, such as almonds, cashews, and Brazil nuts, are packed with essential minerals that help keep your teeth strong and gums healthy. Almonds, in particular, are low in sugar, high in calcium, and help stimulate saliva production, keeping bacteria away. Nuts are also a tooth-friendly swap for chips or crackers, which often leave behind starchy residue. More dental health tips? Contact us at (801) 968-9548.

Brushing too hard can do more harm than good. Scrubbing aggressively doesn’t mean cleaner teeth. It can actually wear down enamel and irritate your gums. The trick is to use a soft-bristle toothbrush in gentle circular motions and brush for a full 2 minutes. Think of brushing like massaging rather than scrubbing. If your toothbrush bristles fray quickly or your gums bleed often, it might be time to rethink your technique.
