This has been devastating to her and her family, as most can imagine. This page was created to provide updates on Lexi's journey and battle with a rare form of metastatic sarcoma cancer as she will be receiving treatments for atleast a year. If you would like to donate to the family for costs related to her treatment diagnosis, you can give directly to Lexi through an account set up at New Peoples

Bank in Bluefield, VA listed under "Lexi's Fund" or her mom's name April Warburton. You can also Venmo her sister, Miranda Hagerman (Carey), if you would prefer. Miranda's Venmo username is -Hagerman. All donations will be transferred from Venmo into "Lexi's Fund". Donations will be used for Lexi's ongoing medical treatment needs. We understand that these are difficult times, and if you are not able to donate that's okay. Please pray for Lexi's healing as often as possible. The page will be updated as we are able but you can also message us anytime for progress updates. Again thank each and everyone of you for your continued thoughts and prayers as Lexi fights her battle with this rare form of cancer. It means so much! Thank you and God Bless you all!

As Lexi’s Light Co brings it first company donation to our page to continue fighting cancer in Lexi’s honor, I hope you take a minute to read what this foundation is about, how the foundation came to be and the brave young man and his mother behind it all: The T.J. Rasnick Foundation.

The candle: A Souls Light

Bringing about this candle takes me back to the days at Brenner’s Children Hospital and seeing brave children of all ages suffering from diverse types of cancers. To be quite honest, those children and teens were among the strongest and brightest lights around the entire facility. Anyone that has been to Wake Forest Baptist Health can tell you; the place is reasonably large. Most days merely a trip down to the cafeteria found so many angry, tired, hopeless people filling the halls. Coming back to the floor, the children’s cancer unit and simply seeing their faces, their smiling faces, made me feel different than I have ever felt before. These kids cast an energy not of anger, or fatigue, aggravation, or hopelessness but an energy of light, a beam of hope and their laughter brought the feeling of pure joy through the halls on the 9th floor. Not everyone gets to witness children fighting for their very lives yet beautifully and selflessly being so grateful to exist, to still just exist.

Thank you for supporting not only Lexi’s Light Co but also helping to donate to The T.J. Rasnick Foundation. Jill has helped countless of children in our community and surrounding communities bringing her own beckon of light. She was the first to help Lexi when she Lex was diagnosed. I cannot say enough about the work she does to bring a smile upon the faces of children and their families who are facing the tragedy of cancer. 100 percent of profit, less the supplies use to make the candles will go toward this amazing foundation this year.

Alexis Lexi Jade Herald, a 2021 graduate of Tazewell High School gained her angel wings Friday, February 11, 2022 with her family and friends by her side. Lexi was born on April 11, 2003, in Bluefield, West Virginia. At a very early age, Lexi picked up her first basketball and

This is Lexi's mom. Lexi's journey ended February 11, 2022 as she went home to be with the Lord and is now an angel. We are currently planning a celebration if life and will update this page with the details as soon as possible.

I want to personally thank her team of doctors and nurses, her community and her special friends for all the love and support that was given during her battle. To say she is loved beyond measure by everyone is an understatement.

Although Lexi is no longer with us she will forever be apart of each and everyone one of us as she has left such a beautiful imprint on all of our hearts. Thank you all.

Unfortunately we have received some bad news. After the doctors at MD Anderson collaborated with doctors at Wake Forest, they have come to the conclusion that it would be unsafe for Lexi to make the trip to Texas. However, they have discussed further treatment recommendations and Lexi has an appointment in clinic at Wake Forest to review our options on Monday. We are astounded by the unity, overwhelming support, and love of the community that has rallied behind our Lexi. Since we cannot make the trip to Texas, if anyone would need or want a refund of the money donated to help toward expenses and travel… please reach out to Miranda Carey or Tim Cole. However, if you would like for us to keep the donations, all funds will continue to be used for her ongoing treatment costs and care. Again, our family thanks each and every person that has supported her journey thus far. Please continue to keep Lexi and our family in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

Hi everyone. April has given me permission to share the news about Lexi. As most aleady know, Lexi has been in the hospital the last several days with complications from the cancer. After doing many tests and scans, the doctors at Wake Forest have determined that the cancer has spread to multiple areas in her body. They have given her no further treatment options that they believe would help Lexi. Lexi will be coming home tomorrow with hospice care. This is a choice that Lexi has made. She does not want to participate in clinical trials. My sister has asked that if anyone knows someone in the medical field that would or could review Lexi’s case, to please message this page. We are not giving up hope on Lexi. We will take her anywhere that will accept her case for a second opinion. Please continue to pray for Lexi and her family. We are all heart broken but determined to make Lexi happy and comfortable at the same time. Thank you all for always praying and sending words of encouragement. ❤️

Asking for prayers tonight for Lexi and her mom as they head back to Wake Forest. Lexi had an outpatient chemotherapy treatment Monday and did well until this morning. She has been battling so many side effects of the treatment and they think her blood levels have dropped. I will try and update again as soon as we know more. ❤️

Lexi update: Lexi and her mom decided to head down Sunday to Wake Forest bc of the snow storm we were under. Lexi was suppose to have lymphedema therapy today but bc of the weather conditions it has been moved to Thursday. Thankfully, they made it there safely and are staying in a hotel until tomorrow. She will have 2 days of chemotherapy as long as her blood work is good. There has been no improvement in her lymphedema so far, and it is causing her a considerable amount of pain. Again, we ask for continued prayers and for the Lord’s healing touch on Lexi! Please also pray for every child that has to fight cancer! Thank you all for your love and prayers!❤️

Good evening all. I apologize for the delayed post. Lexi was able to complete her 2 days of inpatient chemo and finish her radiation treatments to her right arm/underarm. Unfortunately, the radiation has caused fluid to build up on her arm. This has caused Lexi a lot of discomfort recently. She will begin therapy on her arm to help move the fluid off the arm soon. Lexi will have an outpatient day of chemo this week and hopefully be home the rest of the week. Please keep the prayers for healing and comfort coming for Lexi and her family!❤️

Lexi was at Wake Forest this week receiving daily radiation again. She did not make her blood counts in order to receive her chemo. She is home now with her family and will return Monday to Wake Forest. We appreciate the love, kindness, and prayers each and everyone has given to Lexi. Blessings for a prosperous New Year for each and every one!❤️

Lexi’s Uncle Shannon and Esme hanging out today after her grooming appointment. Lexi has a week off to recuperate for the holidays. Happy to say she is doing well so far! We all hope everyone has a wonderful and Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!❤️

Good evening! Aunt Michelle again with a short update. Lexi, her mom, and nana are back at Wake Forest. Lexi is getting inpatient chemotherapy this week along with radiation to the primary tumor site(right shoulder and underarm). She isn’t feeling to well so far. Lexi is also starting to have radiation burn at the primary sites. They are ordering more blood work to see if her levels have dropped since admission on Monday. Also, they are using special medicated ointments and washes to the radiation burns. Please pray for her to start feeling better and for her skin to heal quickly from the burns. We know that chemo makes you feel weak and sick, but we hope that once it is stopped on Friday that she will bounce back quickly. She has a special Christmas wish to spend a few days at Pigeon Forge and see the lights at Dollywood. Her mom has it all planned out for her, and she is so excited. Pray that Lexi will feel well enough to make the trip and go to Dollywood with her family by her side!! Thank you all in advance. We feel so blessed to have the community support behind our beautiful Lexi!❤️

Hello everyone. This is Lexi’s Aunt Michelle with a little update. Lexi was suppose to have her 5 day chemo stay and radiation treatments this week. Unfortunately she didn’t make counts this week with her blood so they changed her 5 day in patient chemo to next week beginning the 13th. She is still having her daily radiation treatments this week. She has been tolerating them well so far. Today they have decided to do another CT scan of the arm area bc there has been a tremendous response to the radiation in that area!! Praise God the radiation is working so well. This is a little good news in this horrible battle she faces. She will continue her current chemo regimen and will also be rescanned after her 11 weeks complete. This will give the doctors an idea of how the metastatic areas are responding and then they will decide on the treatment plan for those areas. Lexi is a true warrior and fighting hard to overcome this battle. We thank you again for all the love and support everyone is showing! Please keep the prayers coming! They are working!!!❤️

Lexi update: She is having outpatient radiation this week. Lexi is doing well. She does have some cold/allergy symptoms but no fever so far. We are hopeful that she will remain fever free. Thankfully nothing concerning to post. She will resume inpatient chemo next week as long as she tolerates radiation well this week and nothing new develops. Again, we ask to continue praying for our precious Lexi and her family. ❤️

Hello everyone! This is Lexi’s aunt Michelle. Lexi is doing well so far this week. She was admitted on Monday for inpatient chemo and daily radiation treatments. If all goes well, she will be home Friday evening. Unfortunately she will be in the hospital for Thanksgiving but we plan on celebrating Sunday with her and all of our family. She has a wonderful group of nurses/doctors and support staff here at Wake Forest that will help make tomorrow great for her and the other children here. She has put in a special request for her papaw to bring her some ham today and he is on his way with it! I hope everyone gets to spend Thanksgiving with family and friends, enjoying many laughs, hugs, and memories. We love and appreciate our community and friends! Please continue to send Lexi your prayers and we’ll wishes! ❤️❤️
