✅ Some funeral homes hire marketing firms…
✅ I hired “Ace”. 🐾🐶

Meet “Ace” — the new Top Dog on Pottawatamie Street, Tecumseh, Michigan, USA 🇺🇸

We’ve had dogs around the funeral home for about 30 years — four of them total. Each one loyal, loving, and smarter than a few of the undertakers I’ve known (myself included).

My dad, Gil Purse, loved having a dogs here. When our last one, “Shelby”, passed in 2008 — just months after my dad died — I couldn’t bring myself to get attached again. That loss hit hard.

✅ But loyalty has a funny way of finding its way back.

✅ Now Ace is carrying on the tradition — keeping watch, greeting visitors, and making sure morale stays high. He’s already earning his keep… one Milk-Bone at a time. 🐶

✅ Families often ask me where they can look through quality urns ⚱️, keepsake jewelry, so I wanted to share this link to Batesville’s online urn store. ✅ They’ve been a trusted name for years, and they stand behind everything they make — truly great quality.

✅ You can purchase directly from them if you find something you like. It won’t hurt my feelings one bit — I’m not in the retail business. I sell my services, skills, and care, not inventory.

✅ That said, I’ll always help guide you through the options if you’d like a little advice or second opinion. ~ Barry Purse

✅ On our way back from a Navy veteran’s graveside service today, we made a quiet detour through Amish Country and found ourselves in Strasburg, Ohio — stepping inside one of the most beautiful mausoleums I’ve ever seen.
Marble walls, stained glass light, and the stillness that seems to hold every word ever spoken in prayer. ✅ Moments like that remind me why I do this work — every resting place tells a story, every name engraved represents love, faith, and legacy.
Sometimes the most peaceful places aren’t found by planning… they find you along the way.
