We know that local small businesses - retailers, coffee shops, restaurants - have all been hit particularly hard by COVID-19, as many have been forced to close or operate with reduced hours or within strict limitations. We want to come alongside those that are hurting and be the church and shine a bright light in our community and say, “Yeah, we’re all going through a hard time, but we’re all going through it together and we’re going to get through it together.” So let's be purposeful about spending our money in support of our friends and neighbors right here in our community! 💪 Shout out to the Robisons – Dr. Darren Robison - Chiropractor / Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (Dare2Care Chiropractic) and his wife, Dr. Caroline Robison – Optometrist (Caroline Robison Optometry Tehachapi)
We absolutely loved Dr. Caroline. She took her time and gave my daughter a thorough exam. The ability to book an appointment and get a reminder through Facebook messenger was super easy and extremely helpful. Thank you Dr. Caroline!

Caring for your Eyes

I am asked from time to time why I became an Optometrist. When graduating from high school I wanted to become an elementary school teacher. Then it was during a summer job as a receptionist in an optometry office that I decided to change career goals. I learned that children may have trouble in school because they need glasses or eye exercises. It also impressed me that there are many diseases in the body that could be detected in the eyes, such as Diabetes. When I started optometry school my grandma started to go blind. My desire to understand her vision issues and help others like my grandma encouraged me to stay the path to becoming an Optometrist.

My grandma continues to be my inspiration when helping people with their vision. My motto for helping my patients is, “Caring For Your Eyes With A Personal Touch.” What I am trying to portray is that I spend extra time with people to treat their vision needs individually. My grandma had 7 grandchildren, but I always felt like I was her only grandchild. All her grandchildren felt the same way. Similarly, I also try to help every patient feel as though he or she is my only patient.
