One of my goals as a Licensed Massage Therapist was to at some point in my career publish articles.

My goal was not for the research to be full of colorful graphs and charts. I wanted someone to read this and say. This is me, my mom, my sister, my neighbor or someone that they knew that suffered from chronic pain.
I also wanted and thought it was important coming from a nursing prospective and background.

After, four years of many pivots, some because of what the data was telling us and some that were totally unexpected. We submitted our case studies for publication on August, 26th to Beginnings a holistic nursing journal.

A big, big thank you to my friend and colleague Louise Beebe and fellow nurse for helping me reach this goal. Thank you Louise for your time, dedication and patience, but not so much the homework.
Wish us luck! On to the next project. A book.

Your body wants to heal. My job is to help it remember how.
As we age, our bodies accumulate wear and tear from repetitive movements, old injuries, and daily stress. What starts as minor aches can progress to chronic pain, reduced mobility, and diminished quality of life. But there’s something I know after years of study and practice. Injury recovery is possible, and your body has an incredible capacity to heal when we give it the right support.
Read my latest blog to learn more about why my work as a massage therapist can promote your own body’s ability to heal.

When people think about massage therapy, they often focus on the techniques, specific modalities, pressure, and movements. While those elements are certainly important, what I bring to each session goes far deeper than any single technique I’ve learned. As an experienced massage therapist, someone...

About Me

My name is James Ross, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Registered Nurse. I graduated from nursing school in 2006 and started my career as a critical care nurse at Bryn Mawr Hospital. After some time, this position became more about giving out medications versus helping people heal, and I felt like 1-one-1 personal interaction was lost with my patients.

This lead me to make a choice to begin working as a home care/hospice nurse. Again, working as a hospice nurse became more about census numbers and less about the relationships with the patients and their families. While I was working in hospice, I enrolled in massage school and graduated in 2012. I decided, I wanted to devote my time to developing and cultivating my own holistic minded massage practice that offers neck, back and joint pain relief for those 55 and wiser, by using a variety of modalities to help you feel better, hurt less and move easier. I feel that I have a connection to those 55 and older because of the stories they can share.

I look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have about getting out of pain and finding balance in your life.

Thank you,
