Back-to-school transitions can feel BIG especially for kids needing a little extra support.
Here are some simple therapy-inspired ideas to make it smoother:
✋ OT: Practice fine motor skills (snipping, coloring, zippers, opening lunch items).
🏃 PT: Build stamina with animal walks, balance games, and short seated table times.
🗣️ SLP: Role-play classroom conversations + practice turn-taking at home.
📚 Reading: Keep it fun with school-themed books, letter hunts, or audiobooks.
Small steps now can make the first days a little lighter 💛
