As October comes to a close, we proudly stand together in pink to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

At TVH, this cause is deeply personal. Many of our teammates are survivors, fighters and supporters — each with a story of courage, resilience and hope. Today, we wear pink not just as a symbol, but as a promise: to continue raising awareness, supporting research and standing by those affected.

We’d also like to recognize our Patient Access Services Team, who celebrated two incredible survivors within their department — Hope Jackson and Shirley Geselle. Their strength and perseverance inspire us all. 📸 (See photo 2 with some of their PAS team)

This powerful annual event brings our community together to raise awareness and support for those affected by cancer—and this year was no exception.

We were proud to walk alongside our sister Southwest Healthcare facilities—Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital and Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital —as one united team. 💜 Together, we honored survivors, remembered loved ones, and stood strong with those still fighting.

We’re excited to welcome student nurses from California State University San Marcos to our hospital this fall!

As part of their clinical experience, they’re diving into our quality improvement priorities and collaborating with our team—especially around the Daisy Care™ Inpatient Mobile App, a tool that helps patients manage their hospital stay by providing access to their care plan, medications and health records. Their goal is to propose thoughtful, realistic solutions that align with our hospital’s needs and enhance patient care.

This month’s Heart to Hearts Community Event was nothing short of inspiring. We were honored to welcome Dr. Alturjuman as our featured speaker, joined by Steffani Natter, a former TVH patient whose life was forever changed by advanced cardiac care.

Dr. Alturjuman shared powerful insights into life-saving heart devices like pacemakers and defibrillators—explaining how these innovations are transforming outcomes for patients with serious heart conditions. His message was clear: early diagnosis and timely intervention save lives. Then came a moment that touched every heart in the room—Steffani’s personal story. Her journey as a patient whose life was saved by one of these devices brought the conversation full circle, reminding us all of the real-life impact of cutting-edge cardiac care.
