Halasana, or Plow Pose, gently stretches the spine and shoulders while calming the nervous system. This inversion encourages deep release — helping relieve fatigue and quiet the mind.

This is a gateway pose to shoulder stand!
Remember: move into this pose slowly and support your neck with care. 🌙 You may comfort with support from blankets placed underneath the shoulders or bolsters/blankets under the toes of touching the floor with the toes is uncomfortable.

Vasisthasana, or Side Plank Pose, builds core strength, balance, and focus. The very basic variation is done with 2 street legs or even one knee down with the top leg extended. The second variation with tree pose legs adds a hip-opener and flexibility challenge by bending the top knee and holding the foot — engaging your entire body while improving coordination and stability. 💪🧘‍♀️

It’s no secret — I’m a fan of balance poses. 🧘‍♀️ Warrior III (Virabhadrasana III) is one of my favorites — a pose that challenges both focus and stability. Arm variations include the one you see here, 🙏, holding blocks, or extending the arms straight forward.

Did you know this pose has a powerful origin story? In Hindu mythology, Warrior III represents the moment when the warrior Virabhadra places Daksha’s severed head on a stake — a symbol of strength, transformation, and triumph over ego.

Beyond its story, Warrior III strengthens your core, legs, and focus — helping you build balance on and off the mat. 🌿
