This patient had an upper & lower blepharoplasty paired with a TCA peel.
Recovery after an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) tends to be quick. The tissues usually heal rapidly. After the surgery, the eyelids may feel tight and sore as the anesthesia wears off. This discomfort can be controlled with medication. The head should be elevated for several days, and the use of ice packs will help reduce swelling and bruising. Sometimes, you can produce excess tears or experience dryness of the eyes. You will be using eye drops regularly.
Most sutures are removed 5 to 7 days after surgery.
Most patients are able to read or watch television after a day or two and can be back to work in 3 to 5 days.
