Our Story
In addition to the regular meetings, we offer classes and seminars for the community and our members each month. We have several special interest groups that focus on specific topics (DNA, Hispanic, African American. British Isles) that meet several times each year. We host one or two social events each year and an Open House in October to showcase our group to the community.
Our book collection is housed at the Ron Roberts Temecula Public Library on Pauba Road and it continues to grow. Through our partnership with the Library, we offer help to library patrons, and have two dedicated computers along with a digital film viewer and scanner system available for genealogical researchers.
Several times a year our group visits libraries and repositories of interest to our members (Carlsbad Library, Los Angeles Public Library in downtown LA, the National Archives in Perris, California to name a few). We also travel as a group for a week of research at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City once a year.
We welcome visitors and look forward to meeting new members and helping them find their roots.
