Hi Friends!! I find myself up all night, most nights now, working on schoolwork. (It seems easier at night, the house is quiet and there's nothing else I have to do.) Some of you may know that I've decided to go back to school. I'm attending National University, online, and I'm working toward my bachelor's degree in sociology. I'm working my freaking ass off and I am also enjoying every minute of it. The timing is right now, because I finally have the things I need to maybe pull this off, tons of personal and emotional support, and heavy doses of Adderall. This week I'm working assignments that focus on health challenges, and I've decided to focus on ADHD, and my other learning differences, basically neurodivergence. I found really great examples people have made on TikTok to audibly demonstrate what my ADHD brain sounds like inside my head 24/7. I'll attach the example if I can. But basically it just sounds like a lot of noise, layers of sounds, voices, songs, talking, singing, hootin' and hollerin' and then my own voice lays over all that just narrating everything, and that's not counting all of the noise in spirit. It's made me so curious, and I really want to know and understand.... what does the neurotypical brain sound like inside your head? If you don't have about 20 layers of noise going on all the time, what is going on? I've asked a few neurotypical people and they say that nothing's going on except what they are thinking about and/or doing in the moment. And stranger still, they tell me that at night, when they go to bed, that basically they know it's time to sleep and their brain gets quiet and they fall asleep. I'm just so blown away and baffled by this. I really would like to hear an audio recording of what the non-ADHD, neurotypical brain sounds like inside your head, just overall, like during the day as you're going about your life, and also when you go to sleep at night. Please if you can make a recording of this and send it to me, I would be forever grateful. I'll try to attach the audio of the ADHD brain, basically MY BRAIN, and what it typical sounds like inside my head every minute of every day of my whole life. And, no, I cannot shut it off. Thanks guys!! Check out the link, that's pretty close to what I experience except I also see constant flashes of pictures and "movies' and a ton of spiritual input as well.
