Not every difficult moment can be summed up with “I’m fine.” During Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to encourage more honest, compassionate conversations about mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Sometimes it can help to have other words available when we’re struggling, overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or simply not okay. Today’s post shares a few examples of things you can say when “fine” doesn’t feel truthful.

You don’t have to go through difficult moments alone, and you don’t have to have the perfect words to reach out for support. 💚

During Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s important to recognize that our mental health is shaped by more than just what happens internally. Many outside factors can also impact how we feel, cope, and connect with others.

Today’s post highlights four common influences on mental health: current events, loneliness, social drivers, and technology. Becoming more aware of these factors can help us better understand ourselves and encourage healthier ways of coping and staying connected. 💚

Today marks — a day dedicated to increasing understanding, reducing stigma, and uplifting the voices of people living with schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia is a serious mental health condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, and experiences the world. Symptoms can vary widely from person to person, but may include hallucinations, delusions, difficulty concentrating, changes in motivation or emotional expression, and disorganized thinking or speech

Schizophrenia often develops in early adulthood, though symptoms can emerge at different stages of life. While it is a lifelong condition, many people living with schizophrenia lead meaningful, connected, and successful lives with the right combination of treatment, support, and community.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, today’s coping tip is a reminder that connection matters. Reaching out to someone we trust can help us feel supported, understood, and less alone, even during stressful or difficult moments.

Today, consider calling or checking in with a friend, family member, or supportive person in your life. Sometimes a simple conversation, laugh, or moment of connection can make a meaningful difference for our mental wellbeing. 💚
