On this solemn day, we remember the tragedy of September 11, 2001. We honor the innocent lives lost, the heroes who rushed into danger, and the families who still carry the weight of that day. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we find strength in God’s promise to be near to the brokenhearted and to bring peace in times of sorrow.

~Grief Has No Timeline~

There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there is no clock telling us when we should “move on.” Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and healing rarely looks the same for two people. Some days may feel lighter, while others can feel just as heavy as the beginning. What matters most is allowing yourself the space and time you need. Be patient with yourself and gentle with others who are hurting. Grief is not a sign of weakness, it is love carried forward.

Your compassion doesn’t end when the service is over. In fact, for many grieving families, the quiet days and weeks after the funeral can be the hardest. A thoughtful note, a home-cooked meal, a phone call, or even a simple “I’m thinking of you” can be a lifeline in the midst of sorrow. Grief has no timetable, and your continued presence reminds them they are not walking through it alone. True support is a gift that lasts far beyond the day of the service.
