CPR CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF SERVING THE COMMUNITY

Crisis Preparation and Recovery, Inc. (CPR), an Arizona-based behavioral health company celebrates its 25th year of providing compassionate, effective and innovative care to communities throughout the state. CPR began in 1995 with one person, owner and founder Tom McSherry, and currently employs nearly 300 people committed to the company’s mission, “We Exist To Serve”.

CPR employs diverse, well-trained and experienced behavioral health professionals to meet the needs of individuals, businesses, schools, governments, and hospitals. Beginning with a contract with The Salvation Army to provide disaster relief coordination and training and Critical Incident Stress Management trainings to schools, law enforcement and fire departments around Arizona, today CPR’s expanded services include 24-hour crisis response to hospitals, individual and group counseling, psychiatric medication management, on-site counseling at Skilled Nursing Facilities, in-home counseling, Seriously Mentally Ill evaluations, Employee Assistance programs, Training and Education, Executive Coaching, Mediation, Crisis Management and post-hospitalization services, and co-responder crisis therapists working in conjunction with Mesa and Phoenix police departments. CPR employs the largest number of licensed clinicians in Arizona. To date, CPR has positively impacted hundreds of thousands of lives.

CPR employees believe helping others is a blessing and a privilege, not a right, and do so by demonstrating core values of respect, integrity, compassion, innovation and flexibility, professional growth, life balance, and commitment to excellence. As of 2019, CPR is the first Arizona behavioral health company to offer an Employee Stock Ownership Plan giving employees ownership interest in the company.
