With guidance from the LCS Health & Wellness Advisory Board, we reviewed what today’s nutrition recommendations mean for older adults. What we found? It’s all about balance: choosing the right protein, prioritizing fresh, whole foods, managing fats and fiber, and supporting brain health through diet.

Did you know that Friendship Villages hosts multiple blood drives throughout the year? It’s one of the many ways our community supports lifesaving care. Our next opportunity is coming up on Tuesday, February 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Skirm Auditorium.

Stay Active: Light movement, such as walking, stretching, yoga, or tai chi, can boost balance, mobility, and daily energy.

Choose Nourishing Foods: Add more colorful fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to support immune health and overall vitality.
