Black Maternal Health Week kicks off tomorrow. Here are 7 reasons why it matters not just for the next week but for ALWAYS.

To care about Black maternal health is to affirm that Black women deserve to be heard when they say something is wrong, to be treated with respect. It is about believing Black birthing bodies. It is about recognizing that every statistic represents a person—a mother, a daughter, a family forever changed.

Black maternal health matters because every mother matters. And until that truth is reflected in outcomes—not just intentions—the work remains unfinished.

We are Tempe Birth Center; Home of the Hummingbird Midwives. We believe that the journey of bringing new life into the world is most beautiful when it’s rooted in the heart of the community. Our office is truly a home, a charming 100-year-old home, nestled in the center of downtown Tempe. And we LOVE it here 💜
