Nourish Natural Medical Center is owned and operated by Dr. Natalie Ham. Nourish Natural Medical Center was created, because she wanted a special, healing, nourishing center for patients. The name Nourish embodies her treatment approach; to help set the foundation for healing by nourishing every patient's mind, body and soul. Healing the body, with fresh, organic foods, exercise and a clean living

environment. Healing the mind with counseling and positive, life changing suggestions and relationships. Healing the soul with meditation/prayer, yoga and healing of their past. There are many types of therapies that are used at Nourish Natural Medical Center to accomplish these goals such as: diet and lifestyle counseling, supplementation, detoxification, homeopathy and herbal therapy. Dr. Ham, along with the other doctors at Nourish use the least means necessary to obtain the most positive and long lasting results as possible. Evy graced her presence at Nourish today but she wasn’t quite her smiley self. She’s teething and was a little clingy crab apple. When kiddos are teething, do not want to be put down, are crabby and don the single red cheek, you can be pretty confident that Chamomile will be the remedy to help them. We gave her the remedy in office and she was able to have a successful play date afterwards 💛💙

Mental health and fertility are interconnected. 🌳

The interplay between our genes 🧬 and inflammation may be playing a role in both emotional and reproductive health.

Homocysteine is a marker that may tell us if these are tied together. This might look like a combination of depression, anxiety, cardiovascular disease and infertility. ❤️

Fertility care should look at the whole person.

There has been a lot of recent conversation around PCOS being renamed PMOS: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.

PMOS is a more accurate reflection of how interconnected the endocrine and metabolic systems truly are. Insulin resistance, inflammation, fatigue, weight changes, skin health, mood, fertility, and cardiovascular risk can all be part of the picture.

At Nourish, this does not dramatically change the way we approach care. We have always believed women deserve treatment that looks at the whole system, not just reproductive symptoms alone.

Women with PMOS often experience highly individualized symptom patterns, which is also why our physicians regularly incorporate individualized tools such as homeopathy into care.

PMOS is a complex array of symptoms and your treatment plan should reflect that. 🩵🩷

I know what it feels like to endlessly search for answers, hoping you will find the one thing that will work.

To be asked deeply personal questions about your reproductive health in casual conversations.

To go to every baby shower, smile, hug and pretend you’re just fine.

To find out a treatment failed…and then walk back into work and continue your day while your heart is breaking.

To have your body still look pregnant after a miscarriage…and be asked if you are.

To hesitate when someone asks “Is she your first?”
Because yes - she is the one that made it.
But it’s not the whole story.

But I also know what it’s like:

To fall into the arms of unwavering support and love from a partner and family member.

To have an ultrasound tech cry with you because your story reminded her of her own.

To be held and hugged by a woman who had gone through it all and truly understood.

To sit with a group of women who, like you, have become more resilient than they ever thought possible.

But she is also your sister, your daughter, your friend, your coworker and the woman you passed in the park today.

This week is about awareness.
Because when we understand we show up differently.
We can ask for what they need, or know when not to ask at all.

I could write a chapter on each of these. But what I can tell you as a woman that went through the fertility journey herself and a doctor who treats fertility is that I have seen and felt every one of these points!

Fertility is a deep and personal journey. There are surprises (both good and bad) around every bend. There is learning (so much learning) about yourself, your relationship, the medical system and what you are truly capable of. You’ve got this….and we got you 🩷
