So for those who don’t know this about me, I’m super into all sorts of interesting (to me) things. Human design, astrology, anything spiritual, witchy or shamanic (I mean, I AM a shamanic practitioner). When you come into my office it’s not uncommon for me to ask if you know your moon and rising signs and lately I’ve been asking people to pull up their human design charts for me to peruse. (And if you’ve never heard of human design, do a search on it and check it out. It’s like astrology on steroids and is so good at telling the story of YOU).
As an acupuncturist I can already get a lot of information about people and their ailments just by asking some questions, feeling pulses and looking at tongues. But because I specialize in helping people move through emotional upheavals, anxiety, depression, etc, I have found that getting more information through things like human design really help me tie the picture of YOU together.
What all of this means is that when people come into my office, they get a pretty well rounded treatment that takes EVERY aspect into account. Stress, anxiety and other emotional disorders do not happen in a vacuum and I help you tie the pieces together to help you see how seemingly unrelated areas may be impacting you and contributing to how you are feeling. And from there we come up with simple treatment plans that put the power back into your hands so you can learn to work with your individual design and how you specifically operate in the world.
When I can help somebody to recognize their perceived weaknesses as actual strengths, pretty amazing things can happen. And that is so so cool!
So, if you want to play along, show me your charts! I’ll start: I’m a Gemini sun, Sagittarius moon, Libra Rising and I’m a 1/3 emotional manifestor. Knowing this about myself helps me in so many ways. I wish I had grown up knowing all of this info, it would have saved me so much drama. And so I try to help shine a little light on this for others so they can learn to live in harmony with who they are. And to combine all this with acupuncture and Chinese medicine is just magic (insert chef’s kiss).
