Research at Stanford University is finding acoustics to create new heart tissue!

This image shows the ‘cymatics’, or geometric patterns created in heart cells when applying various sounds. In bio-acoustic sound medicine, is taught that sounds are imprinting every cell and science continues to prove this ancient axiom.
Cardiologist Sean Wu, MD, PhD and Utkan Demirci, PhD, an acoustic bio-engineer use acoustics to manipulate heart cells into intricate patterns. A simple change in frequency and amplitude puts the cells in motion, guides them to a new position and holds them in place. Acoustics can create a form that resembles natural cardiac tissue. With sound they can create new tissue to replace parts of damaged hearts. Acoustics can be used in reconstructing other organ tissue and blood vessels.

Sounds are use to create and harmonize, as well as clean and release. Both principles are used in science using high precision acoustical generators. The same principles can be applied safely by individuals using non-invasive, natural harmonic sounds, such as our voices and acoustic instruments.

Blood is fluid connective tissue that circulates throughout the body. It transports blood cells, proteins, electrolytes, hormones, and nutrients throughout the body. Did you know blood has five principal functions that make it essential for a person’s survival?

1. Blood transports oxygen from the lungs to body cells and brings carbon dioxide from body cells to the lungs.

2. Blood transports hormones and nutrients throughout the body.

3. Blood regulates body temperature.

4. Blood protects the body from pathogens.

5. Blood clots to prevent blood loss at sites of injury.

BOTH KIND AND FIERCE

We can be ruthlessly compassionate AND ruthlessly honest at the same time.

We can be kind and fierce, empathic and brutally honest and true at the same time. Fire and water are not polar opposites, they are lovers. The masculine and feminine are one.

We can be deeply at peace AND fight for what we believe in.

We can know ourselves as the Absolute AND fight for our dignity, our truth, our rights, speak up for our needs, our pain, our longings, on a relative human level, and there is no contradiction there.

From a place of clarity, and peace, and deep groundedness in the earth and the body and the heart, we can speak up loudly, fiercely, share our deepest truths, ask for what we want, set clear boundaries, say yes when we mean yes and no when we mean no.

From a place of deep inner kindness, we can share our healthy anger, stand up for our values, call out the false and the unkind and the unconscious, fearlessly or with fear call all the “pain bodies” out of hiding and into the light of consciousness.

We can be both kind and fierce, and others may feel uncomfortable and threatened by our truth. We can shake their status quo, question the foundations of things.

In their pain others may judge us, call us selfish, try to suppress us, gaslight and dismiss us and minimise our truth and that’s so damn okay because we are on the side of Integrity and Love and Beauty and Dignity, and we cannot be stopped now. We conquer death by living as love, soft and fierce.

Reciprocity is in each moment, invisible threads of connection that support & nurture.

Take the simple act of breathing.

We breathe out carbon dioxide, which the trees, plants & seaw**ds love & need.

They breathe us in, the very essence that moved through us, holding stories of blood, grief, joy & bone, now moves through them.

Turning our breath into oxygen, they transform what we let go of,into the support we need to survive & thrive.

As we breathe in, the very essence that moved in tree, plant & ocean, holding stories of wildness, salt, earth, roots, tides & growth, now moves in us.

Each breath full of the strength of oak, the tenacity of w**d, the magic of foxglove, the depths of sea & the alchemy of earth.~

The energies, the changes, and the upheavals in the world and in one's personal life can leave us feeling very tired.

Rest and refuelling is needed more and more.

Rest is not just sleeping, it can be consciously closing one's eyes and going within to that which feels safe and nourishing while mindfully breathing it in.

As you breathe in that quality of nourishment and safety you are filling your inner cup that is lacking.

You can also refuel yourself with chi-nourishing actions like Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga and brisk walks in nature with your fingers open to the earth to name a few.

We all have times when our cup feels empty, it's up to us to recognise that and make efforts to rest and refuel.

When someone calls you names, reduces you to a thing,
When they offer advice you didn’t ask for,
When they blame you for their pain,
When they do not listen to you, and endlessly talk about themselves,
When they compare you with others,
When they ignore, invalidate, judge or ridicule your thoughts and feelings.
Stop. Breathe.
Know it’s their pain, not yours.
Know they are dreaming the only dream they can dream until they wake up.
Know that they don’t know you, only their fantasy.
Perhaps they find it hard to love themselves.
Perhaps they seek their worth externally.
Perhaps they are disconnected from their breath, their bodies, their precious aliveness, their true calling.
Perhaps they live in a dualistic world of good and bad, right and wrong, success and failure.
Perhaps they have forgotten the simple joy of being.
Perhaps you understand this.
Perhaps you have been where they have been.
Don’t try to change them now. They may never change.
Don’t try to fix them. They aren’t asking to be fixed.
The more you push, they more they’ll push back.
Don’t get entangled in their web of sorrows.
See clearly, even have compassion, but don’t push.
It’s okay that they are upset. It really is.
Give them space to be upset.
It’s okay that they are disappointed in you.
Give them space to be disappointed.
It’s okay that they judge you. Make room for their judgements too.
Make room for your own thoughts and feelings!
Allow yourself to feel sad, angry, guilty, doubtful.
Let all these precious energies wash through you.
They will not harm you, as you allow them to move.
Yes, you will meet many gatekeepers on this journey.
Walk your path anyway, and allow others to walk theirs.
You don’t need to justify your path, or defend it.
Stay close to yourself in these challenging times.
Do not fight the darkness; it has no power anyway.
Simply turn your light
way up.~

Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Four Directions:

When we’re navigating lingering traumas (even ones that may seem minor), it can be difficult to know where to turn for healing.

There’s a tendency to get focused on something outside of us to “fix” us.

The truth is, all the resources you’ll ever need for healing are within you and all around you, right this moment, according to Giten Tonkov, founder of the BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System®.

The practice of resourcing means calling into play anything or anyone that supports your wellbeing. Each time you take a deep breath to calm down, go for a walk to clear your mind, or hug a friend or partner when you’re sad — you’re resourcing.

And when you turn your attention to tapping into your inner resources, you access a virtually unlimited wellspring for healing.

On Thursday, July 28, Giten will share how to tap into these resources around you, to cultivate a more resilient nervous system so you won’t feel so overwhelmed by outer circumstances.

🔈 THE SYMPATHETIC (THORACOLUMBAR) DIVISION OF ANS

Peripheral sympathetic innervation begins in the central spinal cord (IML T1–L2–L3) and spreads out via the sympathetic trunk, spinal nerves, and cephalic arterial rami to reach all vascularized parts of the body.

Postsynaptic sympathetic fibers exit from the sympathetic trunks by different means, depending on their destination: Those destined for parietal distribution within the neck, body wall, and limbs pass from the sympathetic trunks to adjacent anterior rami of all spinal nerves through gray communicating branches (L. rami communicantes ); those destined for the head pass from cervical ganglia by means of cephalic arterial rami to form a carotid periarterial plexus; and those destined for viscera of the thoracic cavity (e.g., the heart) pass through cardiopulmonary splanchnic nerves.

Presynaptic sympathetic fibers involved in the innervation of viscera of the abdominopelvic cavity (e.g., the stomach) pass through the sympathetic trunks to the prevertebral ganglia by means of abdominopelvic splanchnic nerves. Postsynaptic fibers from the prevertebral ganglia form periarterial plexuses, which follow branches of the abdominal aorta to reach their destination.
