Speech-Language and Hearing Month is observed in May each year to increase awareness about communication disorders and hearing health.

We dedicate this month to our audiologists and speech-language pathologists who dedicate themselves every day to improving the lives of our clients, patients, and students.

Did you know communication disorders are among the most common conditions in children and adults, affecting tens of millions of people in the United States alone? Left untreated, these disorders can negatively impact a person’s academic, social, and career success—as well as their overall quality of life. With early intervention and treatment, many communication disorders can be reversed or even prevented.

Tomorrow is Sun Devil Giving Day and we invite you to consider supporting the Hearing Healthcare Assistance Project (HHAP). HHAP is a free service offered through our Speech and Hearing Clinic. It provides no-cost hearing aids and aural rehabilitation to Arizonans with hearing loss who have limited income. Your donation will help provide underserved individuals with access to hearing health care.
